Emily attended Alder Training’s Study Programme and was welcomed into the group. Emily showed great enthusiasm when taking part in various tasks, including the charity events. Emily also showed a mature attitude with everything she did.

Aintree Hospitals - Progression to Higher Education

Seven of our learners have recently applied - and been successful - to start Nurse training, whilst an eighth has progressed onto a Social Work degree course. All of these learners worked at Aintree Hospitals NHS Trust as Health Care Assistants or Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA).

Learner Progression - Dental Nursing

Lauren started with us in April 2007 on an E2E programme. Within 6 months she had progressed to a Support Services in Healthcare Apprenticeship which she completed in a little over 15 months. She gained employment with a dentist close to her home and progressed onto her Advanced Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing - which she then completed in just 12 months. Completing this programme earned Lauren a pay rise from her employer.

Alder Training in partnership with KCC and JC+ - Ambition Health - Dental Nursing

A recruitment, training and employment initiative which has been run in partnership between Alder Training, Knowsley Community College, Jobcentre Plus and the Strategic Health Authority has been hailed a success. The Ambition Health project recruited unemployed individuals from Liverpool and Knowsley and trained them to become dental nurses. None of the individuals had any dental nursing experience, yet within six months of starting the project all of the individuals had full-time jobs in dental surgeries and achieved their NVQ 2. Well done to all the learners involved we are all proud of your achievements!
