Picture your Future is an exciting new traineeship programme for young people aged 16 – 18 years old who are not currently in employment, education or training living in Merseyside or the surrounding areas.

Fully funded, the 18-week programme will provide trainees with the skills future employers are looking for and help them to become work ready. Trainees will receive dedicated support and guidance on selecting the right career for them and the many options available including progressing to a paid apprenticeship, higher education or finding employment.

As part of the Picture your Future traineeship, trainees will also have the opportunity to undertake up to 8 weeks real life work experience selecting from a range of career areas including; childcare, dental nursing, business administration, customer services, housing or property management, construction, or health and social care.

Vacancy Description

Following appropriate policies, procedures and systems ensuring the educational, social, physical, emotional, health and welfare needs of the children are met at all times

To become involved in children’s activities so as to stimulate and extend their learning

To demonstrate sensitivity toward children and families within the facility

Providing an environment that is safe, stimulating and challenging, Ensuring compliance with ‘The Children Act 2004’ and the ‘Childcare Act 2006’

Assisting in the admission and induction of new children

Assisting in the maintenance of all necessary records to meet internal, E.Y.D.C.P and Ofsted requirements

To take an active role in the promotion of excellent health and safety practices

To respond effectively to any health and safety issues that may arise, and report any necessary matters

To participate in training and meetings as requested by the Management Team

Performing any other duties commensurate with the general nature of the position requested by the Management Team

Training Provided

• 10 weeks classroom based and 8 weeks work experience.

• Level 1 and 2 Maths Functional Skills

• Level 1 and 2 English Functional Skills

• Employability skills- CV writing/ Interviews techniques etc
